OUR summer SEASON TOURS

We lean heavily into the Japanese pride in their seasons and name each tour according to traditional East Asian calendars that break the year into 24 micro-seasons called 24 Sekki (二十四節気). Our Shōsho (小暑), or "Lesser Heat" Tour, is scheduled for July 13 - 26, 2025, and the Taisho (大暑,) or "Lesser Heat" Tour is scheduled from July 27 to August 9, 2025, Although the rest of Japan will be sweltering hot, we leave that all behind as we travel in comfort in the northern island of Hokkaido. Our 2 Hokkaido tours are scheduled well before one of the busiest domestic travel periods in Japan, the Obon Festival. which is a multi-day Japanese festival in mid-August dedicated to remembering and honoring the dead. It is a time of homecoming, with families taking part in traditions to respect their ancestors.
